Metropolis
In 1927 Fritz Lang directed a film depicting a bleak future. The movie was a very large hit, and was entirely silent. Later on, in 1984, Giorgio Moroder, a music producer, released a version with a soundtrack by rock artists such as Freddie Mercury and Adam Ant. The film, after being restored, was long last showed on large screens in Berlin and Frankfurt simultaneously on 12 February 2010. The cast starred Gustav Fröhlich as Freder, the hero of the film, and Brigitte Helm as both the virginal Maria and her robot double

Das Boot is a 1981 German war film produce, directed, and written by Wolfgang Peterson. It was made into a movie and a series of mini TV shows. The epic film takes place on a German U-boat during World War II. It tells of the dangerous missions, and the secrete passage through the Straights of Gibralter. The Movie was released on September 17, 1981 and grossed roughly 85 million dollars. The film stars Klaus Wennemann, Jürgen Prochnow, and Herbert Grönemeyer.
Aguirre Der Zorn Gottes (Aguirre The Wrath Of God)
Aguirre Der Zorn Gottes is a West German New Wave adventure film written and directed by Werner Herzog. The story is about Lope De Aguirre, and his large group of conquistadors as they travel through the new world, South America, in search of Elderado, the legendary city of gold. It was released in West Germany on December 29 1972, and turned into a massive cult classic, appearing on Time Magazine's top 100 movies of all time list. The cast starred Klaus Kinski as Lope De Aguirre and Helena Rojo as Inez de Atienza.
